We waste a lot of time in searching for items only because we do not know where we kept them last. Whether it is the blow drier or the extra pillow covers, the simplest reason for a lot of frustration and irritation after a good day’s work or at the start of a busy day is that we cannot find the little things that are at that time, the most important. Home organization is not that difficult. To start with, the first rule to follow is to provide every item that you posses a proper place. After that it’s just a matter of habit.
It is time that you took home organization seriously and not let small matters increase your stress. Below are some simple tips if you are ready and are looking for a home organization plan. Remember start small and work your way up.

Home Organization tips: kitchen
Tip 1:
Make sure that your kitchen is neatly organized with all appliances close to an electrical outlet. You don’t want to have power cords running across the countertop and you will find that the microwave, toaster and coffee maker all in one location will be very convenient.
Tip 2:
While storing your utensils, use a flatware tray and place it neatly in a kitchen drawer. This will keep every utensil separate and will make it easy to find the one you want in a matter of seconds. It will also ensure that there is no mix-up as a proper place is designated for them.
Tip 3:
While cooking it’s a common site to see several cooking references lying around. After cooking, it’s a hard task to keep them back in place. Organize your favorite recipes in alphabetical order for quick reference. Use note cards and a note card box or a binder with alphabetical separators for keeping them separate and easily accessible.
Home Organization tips: Stationary
Tip 1:
Always losing pens, pencils and other stationary? Consider using a coffee mug for neat and easy storage of your pens and pencils. Everyone has a coffee mug and this is a much more whimsy way of storing your writing utensils rather than a typical pen/pencil holder. Also, for papers have a binder close at hand where it is generally required.
Tip 2:
Old magazines and newspaper are of no use. Be sure to throw them out. Use a handle basket to store them and keep it next to your favorite reading place. Regular cleaning is required to avoid any unsightly clutter.
Tip 3:
It is a good idea to keep all important papers, including deeds, titles and tax papers in a fireproof protective box. This box should also feature a lock & key and can be placed anywhere in the house. Most individuals place this underneath their bed.
Tip 4:
In order to avoid clutter, it may be necessary to throw away certain types of mail. This may include credit card offers, but don’t just throw them out without first shredding the letters. Identity theft is a huge problem and using a paper shredder on any bills or credit card offers will prevent anyone from ever gaining access to your private financial information.
Home Organization tips: Wardrobe and Entertainment
Tip 1:
Have a media unit in place for your DVDs and CDs to neatly store your collection. For a pleasant appearance and strength select a wooden unit instead of inexpensive, plastic units.
Tip 2:
Your wardrobe should be classified into sections. Work, leisure, home, party, outing etc. segregations will help you to learn to organize stuff according to requirements.
Tip 3:
When storing away your seasonal clothes, don’t just hang them in the closet until next year. Instead, purchase a large plastic lidded storage tub and place your seasonal clothes neatly inside. Rather than folding, try rolling your clothes as this will reduce wrinkles and fold lines. In addition, it will save a lot of space. Place the storage tub in the floor of your closet and label the tub according to the clothing inside.
Tip 4:
If you have any items or clothes that you no longer want, donate them to a local charity. The good deed will come in handy.
